PTI Slammed for Power-Hungry Agenda, Accused of Undermining Democracy by Defense Minister Asif

## PTI Leaders Slammed for Power-Hungry Agenda by Defense Minister Asif Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has strongly condemned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, accusing them of prioritizing personal power gains over the well-being of the nation. Speaking at a press conference, Asif highlighted that this pattern of behavior has been consistent within the party since 2014. He asserted that PTI's leaders have repeatedly engaged in political maneuvers with the sole aim of securing positions of power. "Their actions have made it clear that they are more interested in grabbing power than serving the people of Pakistan," Asif stated. "Their hunger for control has blinded them to the real issues facing our country." Asif pointed out that PTI's leadership has consistently undermined democratic norms and institutions, using tactics such as street protests and judicial challenges to destabilize the government. He expressed concern that this behavior threatens the stability and progress of the country. The defense minister also criticized PTI for its failure to address critical issues such as inflation, unemployment, and security. He accused the party of being more focused on political point-scoring than on finding solutions to the challenges facing the nation. "PTI's leaders have shown time and time again that they are not fit to govern," Asif said. "They lack the maturity, experience, and commitment necessary to lead Pakistan towards a brighter future." Asif's remarks come amid a period of political turmoil in Pakistan, with PTI leading a campaign against the current government. The party has been accused of inciting violence and attempting to undermine the democratic order. The defense minister's statements have drawn criticism from PTI leaders, who have accused him of bias and playing politics. However, Asif remains adamant that his criticism is based on a genuine concern for the well-being of Pakistan and its people.
